This outdoor art exhibition in Green Park from brings together a vibrant collection of 18 artworks created by young people who took part in Transition Bath’s River Avon Poster Competition 2025, delivered in collaboration with the Wild Waters Festival.
Children aged 7 to 13 from across Bath and the surrounding area were invited to explore their connection to local rivers through art. The result is a joyful and thought-provoking display of posters that celebrate the beauty, life and importance of the River Avon.
The judging panel described the entries as full of “joy, justice and responsibility”. This is a testament to how strongly young people feel about the natural world around them. Together, these artworks invite us to see the river through fresh eyes, reminding us why it matters – not just today, but for generations to come.
As you explore the exhibition, take time to experience the river itself – the landscape that inspired these young artists.
Part of the Bath River Line Project: a 10km linear park connecting riverside paths and green spaces from Newbridge to Batheaston; helping to transform the River Avon corridor into a more accessible, welcoming and wildlife-rich environment for everyone to enjoy.
