Farming is responsible for 40% of UK river pollution. Join us to hear Stephanie Betts and Lee Holdstock from The Soil Association discuss the connections between our farming systems and waterways, and explore how organic methods offer a solution to many of the problems currently faced by our rivers.
Stephanie is a lawyer and entrepreneur and a member of the Soil Association’s Development Board. She spent almost 20 years working in various positions at M&G, J.P. Morgan, and CitiBank, and is passionate about promoting sustainable food systems, biodiversity, and water security.
Lee is Head of Regulatory Affairs at Soil Association Certification and has a wealth of knowledge of organic food and farming gained through 25 years advising businesses in the sector.
The talk is hosted by Pear Tree Community Farm, a group working to start a new organic market garden between Limpley Stoke and Freshford.
