The workshop will be led by Dr Helen Moore, ecopoet, writer, lecturer, and mentor with Wild Ways to Writing

It is a wonderful opportunity to commune with the River Avon at beautiful Avoncliff and to be guided in making a response.

Whether you’re a novice or a more experienced writer, this workshop will help you develop your observational skills, embody deeper ecological awareness, refresh your descriptive powers and kick-start a creative dialogue with wildness, inside and out.

Please bring pens, pencils, notebooks, and come prepared for being out along the riverbank with appropriate clothing and shoes, sun protection, water, snack and something portable to sit on.

There is room for just 12 participants: 16 years and over (16-18s accompanied by an adult).

Book your free tickets here.

Meet beside No.10 Tea Garden, Avoncliff. BA15 2HD. We will then take a 5 minute walk, on a footpath, to a nearby riverside location.

(They or the nearby pub should be open and so we should have access to both refreshments and a toilet, if needed).

There is limited car parking at Avoncliff so arrival on foot, by bike or train may prove best.

Avoncliff train station is extremely close to our meeting point but please note that it has a short, steep flight of steps up from the platform.

No dogs.

Whilst due care will be taken; participants are responsible for their own health and safety as well as the safe keeping and suitability of their equipment, clothing and belongings.

You will be asked to provide an emergency contact as we gather for the workshop.
